If you have been tracking the precision rifle competition scene across Europe, you already know that the demand for true, practical long-range PRS challenges is exploding. Long distance shooters are looking for matches that move beyond static benchrest positions and actually test physical capability, gear management, and communication under stress.
That is exactly why we are bringing The Tactical Games Sniper Challenge to Europe.
What Makes the Tactical Games Europe Sniper Challenge Unique?
Most precision matches focus solely on the relationship between the shooter, the rifle, and the wind or the distance to the target. The Sniper Challenge adds two brutal variables: a teammate and your heart rate.
This is a two-day team event heavily inspired by real-world military and Law Enforcement SWAT sniper operations. You do not compete solo. You and your partner operate as a tight unit.
The Core Philosophy: "What You Pack, You Carry"
One rule trips up competitors more than any other: Gear Integrity.
Every piece of equipment you use on Stage 1 must stay with you through every single event until the weekend is over. There is no heading back to your vehicle to grab a different tripod or a lighter sandbag. If you want the stability of a heavy tripod for a 900-meter shot on Day 2, you will be carrying that exact tripod during the physical endurance runs and rucks on Day 1.
Division Categories
Teams enter one of three divisions based on the physical load of their protective kit:
- Heavy: Both partners wear a 6,8 kg plate carrier.
- Lite: Both partners wear a 3,6 kg plate carrier.
- Slick: Run your standard tactical belt/harness setup.
Weapon Matrix & Distances
The format requires two-man teams to bring complementary weapon platforms. You cannot run identical short-range setups.
- The Optics Rule: At least one rifle on the team must mount a precision optic featuring a maximum magnification of at least 10X power.
- The Gas Gun Rule: At least one teammate must run a semi-automatic rifle chambered in classic intermediate or battle rifle calibers like .223 Rem / 5.56×45 or .308 Win.
- The Reach: The primary shooter will engage targets out to 914 meters, while the secondary rifle covers targets up to 731 meters.
- Ammunition Estimate: A safe baseline to pack per team is 200 rounds of rifle ammo and 150 rounds of pistol ammo.
