    About The Tactical Games Europe

The Tactical Games is a sport where physical fitness meets marksmanship. Athletes run, carry heavy loads and clear obstacles, then, with their heart rate up, engage targets with a rifle and a pistol. Results are based on time, with penalties added for misses.

The sport was born in the USA. It was founded by Tim Burke, a career US Special Forces soldier, and the first official matches were held in 2018. According to the organiser, more than 10,000 athletes have competed in The Tactical Games.

The Tactical Games Europe brings this format to Europe. Every Qualifier runs to the same standards as US events: 8 stages, all divisions, official rankings and Points Race scoring. Results count toward the European ranking and toward qualification for the National Championship in the USA.

Civilians, soldiers, police officers and first responders compete side by side. No tactical experience is required, but every athlete must be able to handle a rifle and a pistol safely.

TTG Europe's home base is Poland Shooting Center in Pawłów. By 2028 the organiser aims to run 6–8 Qualifier events and, in the long term, to be active in more than 20 countries.

    Competition formats

TTG Europe runs three formats. The most important is the two-day Qualifier, which earns points toward qualification for the championship in the USA.

QualifierDuration2 days (Saturday and Sunday)Stages8: four mixed, one physical, one running, one shooting and one with both rifle and pistolWho it is forAll divisions. Results count toward the Points Race ranking

Sniper ChallengeDuration2 daysStagesTasks for two-person teams (shooter and spotter): shots out to 900 m, rucking with all gearWho it is forHeavy, Lite and Slick divisions. The format is modelled on the tasks of police SWAT snipers

Qualifier entry is €399 per person or €600 per team (€300 per person). A Skirmish costs €120; in Poland it is PLN 499 (ticket in the TTG Europe shop). The organiser recommends that beginners start with a Skirmish or the TTG 101 introductory course.

    What the competition looks like

Each stage tests a different skill, and the final ranking is the sum of points from all stages.

    • Effort and shooting. Athletes run, carry and drag weights, climb and sprint, then shoot with a rifle and a pistol. In the Men's Elite division, loads reach 113 kg (strongman bag), 98 kg (axle bar) and 91 kg (tombstone).
    • Scoring. On timed stages, 10 seconds are added for every miss. The best athlete scores 100 points and the others score proportionally.
    • Divisions. 12 divisions: Elite, Tactical, Intermediate, and Masters 40+ and 50+ for women and men, Masters 60+ for men, and a team division.
    • Gear. A rifle (e.g. AR-15), a pistol, ammunition, hearing and eye protection, and a plate carrier weighing 6.8 kg for men and 5.4 kg for women. At events in Poland, athletes can rent a rifle and a pistol with ammunition.
    • Safety. Firearms stay unloaded outside a stage and away from range officer supervision. A safety briefing is mandatory before the start, and range officers are TTG-certified.
    • Spectators. Spectators are welcome. They register on the website and watch from designated safe areas.
