LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
Rules for transporting firearms to Poland for sports competitions
European Firearms Pass (EU citizens)
- •You must possess a European Firearms Pass (EFP).
- •Your firearm must be listed on the pass.
- •You should have an invitation or confirmation of participation in sports competitions in Poland.
- •Firearms must be transported unloaded, in a case, ammunition separately.
Police Authorization (non-EU persons)
- •You must obtain prior authorization from the Polish Chief of Police.
- •The application must be submitted before arrival (preferably several weeks in advance).
- •An invitation from the event organizer is required.
Firearm Transport
- •Firearms must be unloaded.
- •Transport in a way that prevents immediate access.
- •On aircraft, declare firearms to the carrier before travel.
Limits & Purpose
- •Firearms and ammunition may only be brought for sporting purposes.
- •Ammunition quantity should be justified by competition participation.
Border Control
- •Declare firearm possession at the border.
- •Officials may check documents and verify serial numbers.
